Therapy Services
Therapy sessions last for 50 minutes (the “therapeutic” hour) and are currently offered on a one-to-one individual basis online. We have a multi-disciplinary team of counsellors and psychotherapists who are here to welcome you and provide space and permission for you to explore your personal objectives without judgement.
Sessions are offered for 12 weeks at a time as a commitment between you and your counsellor, which can be renewed in 12-week intervals without interruption, by mutual agreement. Unlike many services, we do not limit the number of sessions we offer.
You can end your sessions at any time with one week’s notice if you change your mind.
Following an initial assessment to find out more about you and answer any questions, we will allocate you a suitable therapist who we believe has the appropriate level of experience and availability to meet your counselling needs. We aim to do this within 3-5 days of receiving your signed agreement to proceed.
Your therapist will contact you to agree a suitable time for your weekly counselling sessions and these will take place on the same time and day of the week for the duration of each 12-week commitment, unless otherwise agreed. As availability is determined by each counsellor, it is possible to arrange sessions during the evenings and at weekends if you have requested this during your assessment.
All of our counsellors are registered with their relevant professional bodies and hold an enhanced DBS check. They receive clinical supervision to ensure appropriate levels of protection and support for them and our clients, in line with professional clinical requirements.
Many of our therapists are trainee counsellors on clinical placement. They practice a range of therapeutic modalities and styles and join us at different stages in their learning journey. We believe this is one of our strengths and it allows us to accommodate a broad range of clients.
Our initial assessments are conducted by qualified counsellors who operate within the safeguarding requirements of our ethical framework. This allows us to ensure the best possible service for our clients and an appropriate level of experience for our trainee counsellors.
We are proud to be an inclusive and diversity-affirming organisation and welcome counsellors and clients from all backgrounds, including those who identify as neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQ+ community.
